Building Hope for the Unsheltered

In 2022, St. Mary’s Dining Room launched an exciting new project that will provide hundreds of guests with a safe and secure transitional housing option. The units will accommodate guests with special needs, including those recovering from injury or illness, as well as those who have health issues that can be prevented if their needs are addressed proactively. These individual units will also overcome the main barriers for people to access shelter: pets, property, partners and privacy. Guests will have a key to their own room, an interim stay for people to get stable while we help them transition to permanent housing that meets their needs.
