New Service Marks St. Mary’s 60th Anniversary

After months of planning, hours of interviews and the hiring of new staff, we are pleased to announce that St. Mary’s Dining Room is now serving dinner! The addition of a third healthy meal every day, seven days a week was made possible by a generous gift from the Dominican Sisters of San Rafael. This contribution supports the first year of our dinner expansion and is an expression of the Sisters’ compassion and desire to address the critical issues of homelessness and poverty in our community. The expansion of our meal service to include dinner is an important and exciting new chapter for St. Mary’s Dining Room. We knew that there were many in our community who went to bed hungry because they did not have access to an evening meal. This gift will help us to reduce the stress and fear experienced by parents who are struggling to provide for their families.
